Summerland Winery Tasting!!!

Summerland Winery has just released their new Central Coast Collection. These wines are approachable in both price and style, while exhibiting excellent varietal characteristics that tie into the Central Coast flavor profile. A representative from the winery will be pouring and answering questions on Saturday. Tasting hours: Friday 4:00pm to 6:30pm; Saturday 2:00pm to 6:00pm

This Syrah offers a fine display of bright blueberry fruit, along with peppery notes supported by rich, jammy fruit. A pleasing and food friendly style.

2005 Summerland Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon Sale $13.99 Was $16.00

This splendid Cabernet Sauvignon displays the bold black currant and plum fruit. Coupled with the intense black fruits and explosive flavors, one experiences the finer nuances of French oak in the finish.

2004 Summerland Santa Barbara County Merlot Sale $13.99 Was $16.00

This superb Merlot displays a soft approachable, character on the palate followed by an intense mid palate and finish. The wine is supported by spiced plum and rich berry flavors, enhanced with subtle hints of sweet oak. Regional characteristics include aromas of white pepper and dried rose petal.

This wine shows delicate spice and fruity aromas. On the palate this medium body Rhone style wine is excellent to drink now and will age well for the next three years. Enjoy with a light meat dish or soft cheeses.

This event will benefit local and regional non-profit organizations. The tasting starts at 4:00 PM and ends at 7:00 PM, on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at the Westlake Yacht Club.
